This pivotal clinical trial is being conducted to evaluate the DIAM™ Spinal Stabilization System for the treatment of single-level moderate lumbar degenerative disc disease.

Patients who enroll will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups. The investigational treatment consists of the surgical placement the DIAM™ Spinal Stabilization System device in the spinal column. The control treatment group will receive non-operative treatment. This clinical trial will study the effectiveness and safety of the device for the treatment of degenerative disc disease at a single level.
