I Have My Life Back!

"I feel WONDERFUL!"
Thank you Dr. Angeles for your care and compassion. I have been in pain for several years and did not think I would ever live without it.
As your commercials states 'I have my LIFE back thanks to you."

I have my life back and can do all the things I love!

In November 2010, while working on a project at my home I twisted my back to look off to my left me and had an immediate onset of sharp pain.
After several weeks with no relief from taking Ibuprofen and other over the counter medications, I saw my Primary Care Physician who prescribed me Oxycoden.

The pain would subside when taking the pills, but really I knew I was just masking the problem. The cause for the pain had never been dealt with. I would have flare ups every week where I could hardly get out of bed or perform my daily tasks around the house. I had a total of 6 refills at 40 pills each time. Any exertion like mowing lawns, vacuuming, or even long car rides would aggravate the pain to an almost uncontrollable state. After 10 months of taking medications, trying massage therapy and a 12 visit program of physical therapy, I went to see Dr. Gregory Moore.

After just one visit, Dr. Moore was able to determine that an epidural steroid injection in my L45 facet joint might relieve some of my problem. I had the injection and felt immediate relief. As I was unsure how much luck I was going to have with this injection I decided to take my “new back” for a “test drive”. I went out and mowed the lawn, vacuumed, went for a long ride across the state and even went deer hunting where I slept in a camp trailer. All of this and zero pain.

I feel like a new man, able to do things I thought I would never be able to do again after that November 2010 episode. Thanks to Dr. Moore, I have my life back and can do all the things I love.

Thanks to Dr. Noonan and the great staff at the NeuroSpine Institute!

While playing football for the University of Oregon from 1987 – 1991, I began to experience back pain. The pain continued after graduation, so I began exploring different therapy options. I tried chiropractic, acupuncture, spiral decompression, massage, and physical therapy, but nothing seemed to work.

I grew up heavily involved in athletics and enjoyed playing basketball, skiing, mountain biking, golfing and softball. Over the years I had to reduce or even eliminate those activities due to the pain they left me in for several days after playing. It got to the point where I had trouble playing with, and picking up my two boys. I didn’t want them growing up with a dad that couldn’t play sports with them. That’s when I decided I needed to take action and consider back surgery.

After visiting with Dr. Noonan and getting an MRI, it was determined that I was suffering from a degenerative disc condition and the pain was caused from my vertebra rubbing against one another. I opted for a spinal fusion of the L-4 / L-5 vertebra. Within days of the surgery I could tell that I had made the right decision.

I lived in pain for 16 years before I finally decided to do something. Now I’m back to golfing, playing basketball, softball and all the activities I used to enjoy, but now I do them pain free and feel great the next day.

Thanks to Dr. Noonan and the great staff at the NeuroSpine Institute!

The results have been remarkable

Dr. Miller performed surgery on me several months ago, and the results have been remarkable. I'd like him to know. Please pass these photos from my kayaking trip this past weekend on to the doctor with my gratitude. As the Neurospine Institute ads would put it, "I got my splash back."

Best,

-Paul N.
Having a healthy back is a real blessing

Dr. Kitchel and staff,
It has been nearly a year since I had my back surgery at the NeuroSpine Institute. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the kind and professional manner with which you treated me.
Both my husband and I are thankful that our family doctor referred us to you for treatment of my back problem.
I am pleased to inform you that I am fully recovered and walking 2 miles daily pain free. I am also back to work full time in my nursery business.
I have 5 large greenhouses and Spring/Summer is a very busy time for me.
Having a healthy back is a real blessing.

Wishing you all the very best,

-Debra R.
